Besides that, they go with everything, are classic enough to be formal but modern enough to also go with simple place settings. You can see from the pictures. If you like the photos, you will like the silverware. I also like the fact that they have stainless steel knife blades so you can really use them. So, my review is that if you like the look, you will like the function.

This set offers service for eight. Each placesetting consists of a hollow-handle 9-5/8-inch knife, a 8-inch dinner fork, a 7-inch dinner spoon, a 7-1/8-inch salad fork, and a 6-3/8-inch teaspoon. The set includes an additional eight salad forks for use during the dessert course, or for extra guests. For serving, the set also provides a six-piece hostess set with a 8-1/2-inch tablespoon, a 8-1/2-inch pierced tablespoon, a 8-7/8-inch cold meat fork, a 7-1/8-inch butter knife, a 6-3/8-inch sugar spoon, and a pie server. All pieces benefit from stainless-steel construction to ensure durability, while the electroplate gold adds luster. The dishwasher- safe flatware comes in a lacquered mahogany-colored wood chest for organized storage. The flatware set measures 11-1/4 by 3 by 17-3/4 inches and it weighs 12 pounds upon shipping.

I really liked how the knives match the set - they look just like the butter knives with a sharp edge. So it goes perfectly with the set. Can be used for casual or formal dinnerware.
