--Fits into very tight spaces in your cabinetry.(but this also means you will find it cramped--esp. the freezer--if you are looking for and able to house a more standard size unit).
--VERY quiet when running
--Brushed stainless surface is surprisingly resistant to fingerprinting and provides very easy, smear-free cleaning w/simple, inexpensive glass cleaners
--Excellent energy efficiency
--Attractive design (but do note: the sides are NOT stainless-- you can order "monochrome" finish which provides a dark grey orange-peel surface which matches the bottom panel and looks more consistent w/stainless than black; if you don't specify 'monochrome' you will get black sides, bottom and icemaker trim)
--Keeps veggies fresh and crisp far, far longer than my Frigidaire or Whirlpool ever did--weeks of useable crisp freshness
--Clear bins really help remind you of what you have
--We can put the glass shelves in our dishwasher for easy cleaning
--Love the SBS design since stooping and digging around in a bottom-freezer got old for me fast and I vowed never again.
--Water filter works very well and the filter age/status tracker on the front panel is very helpful.
--Theater lighting great for avoiding spills when filling ice or water
Have had for several months and we are so far nothing but pleased. Good value for the money.9/2010: We've had it for a year now and still really impressed. So efficient that we can keep both the fridge and freezer settings on the lowest possible setting and things still stay really cold in fridge and solidly frozen in freezer. Water filters are incredibly easy to take out and replace and since they're attached at the bottom of the front of the unit, they don't take up any valuable space in the fridge.

(More customer reviews)I bought this from amazon because it came with free shipping. One caviat emptor is no reviews at all. Other reviews from other store website, SPT got a fairly good review from them. I decided to buy this brand vs the other brand that also sell 2-door fridge. However, after several days of its operation, I noticed the following turns of events:
1) The compressor sounds getting louder after a few days. (I had a different brand of fridge before, I don't have a problem sleeping at night)
2) The sounds of trickling water along with this annoying compressor sound worries me a lot. Hopefully, it won't spill on my wooden floor.
3) Only half of the freezer area is working. I can see that because only the front half is covered with ice, whereas the back half is not.
4) Even at night, the compressor kicks in at least every hour. I know that from the sounds of the compressors and the soothing sounds of water trickles.
Other reviewers suggest that the location of the fridge is important to extend the lifeline of this fridge; that's why I did make sure to put it in the coolest part of my bedroom, and it still started acted "funny" already with this extra precaution.
I am definitely about to return this fridge because I am tired of finding a new surprise from my new refrigerator. A moral from this purchase is that never buy merchandises without valid good reviews from any amazon customers, who already purchased the products.

HAIER IS A COMPANY IN CHINA, BUT THE PLANT THAT MAKES THIS REFRIGERATOR IS LOCATED IN THE USA. AT THIS PRICE ($150) YOU CAN BEAT IT. BTW, IT HAS A SMALL FREEZER COMPARTMENT WHICH IS NICE FOR KEEPING SMALL ITEM FROZEN. THE DELIVERY WAS FAST AND IT MAKES IT EASIER THAN TRYING TO HAUL ONE HOME FROM THE STORE. I GOT MINE W/ FREE DELIVERY AND NO TAXES THRU AMAZON.
