(More customer reviews)I live in a small cottage, and my full-size refrigerator bit the dust. Since I already have a small chest freezer, I decided that it was time to downsize my refrigerator. Almost everything that fit in the refrigerator compartment of my full-size fridge fit in this little thing--in a lot less space! I love that it doesn't have a freezer--as the freezers in these little things tend to be a waste of space. I think this is a great little fridge, and it looks great too!

Haier HBCN05FVS 150-Can Beverage Center Review

(More customer reviews)My beverage center arrived quickly and we were quite eager to get it up and running as my husband always takes too much space in the fridge with his bottled water, soda pop and beer. Just as advertised, it holds a lot of stuff!
The honeymoon ended quickly though, when we found that we could not get the temp to go below 49 degrees, which is pretty tepid for any cold beverage and absolutely unacceptable for beer. We tried everything, reread instructions, etc. You can only set it on a dial, there no indication of what the temp actually is...so we bought a thermometer and got the bad news that despite being on the coldest setting possible, we weren't getting below 49-50, which according to the thermometer we bought is actually in the "danger" zone of letting bacteria breed.
So, we call the manufacturer who says that we should have know it is a "cooler" not a fridge and will only keep beverages 20 degrees cooler than the ambient temp in the house. What a crock!!!!!!
So, we're stuck with a piece of equip that barely cools things down.
I suggest anyone interested in purchasing these things, now matter the price, be well informed between the differences of cooler and refrigerator. I have learned an expensive lesson.

(More customer reviews)Nicely built, lovely to look at, great built in beverage fridge. The glass door is beautifully transparent, the shelves adjustable and all items on them very accessible.
The lowest temperature setting is 40 degree Fahrenheit but the temperature swings between 44 and 40 as part of maintaining the 40 degree base setting. I wold have preferred a fridge that goes as low as 34 degrees, since beverages will warm up when retrieved from the fridge. It runs quietly and is otherwise a great built-in.

(More customer reviews)I bought this from amazon because it came with free shipping. One caviat emptor is no reviews at all. Other reviews from other store website, SPT got a fairly good review from them. I decided to buy this brand vs the other brand that also sell 2-door fridge. However, after several days of its operation, I noticed the following turns of events:
1) The compressor sounds getting louder after a few days. (I had a different brand of fridge before, I don't have a problem sleeping at night)
2) The sounds of trickling water along with this annoying compressor sound worries me a lot. Hopefully, it won't spill on my wooden floor.
3) Only half of the freezer area is working. I can see that because only the front half is covered with ice, whereas the back half is not.
4) Even at night, the compressor kicks in at least every hour. I know that from the sounds of the compressors and the soothing sounds of water trickles.
Other reviewers suggest that the location of the fridge is important to extend the lifeline of this fridge; that's why I did make sure to put it in the coolest part of my bedroom, and it still started acted "funny" already with this extra precaution.
I am definitely about to return this fridge because I am tired of finding a new surprise from my new refrigerator. A moral from this purchase is that never buy merchandises without valid good reviews from any amazon customers, who already purchased the products.

However, when moving it, I apparently lifted it by the top and broke a plastic part that connects the top to the unit. Warranty doesn't cover plastic parts after 30 days. They gave me phone number to order replacement parts but I gave up after being on hold for one hour.
