(More customer reviews)What first caught my attention were the removable handles: my storage is tight; so this is a bonus. These pieces have a substantial, well-balanced feel. The very best feature is that they conduct heat so efficiently that for the very first time my stove was able to maintain a low simmer without either burning or losing the boil. I was able to make a brilliant cream sauce with stove and pot behaving brilliantly. Am very, very pleased!

(More customer reviews)We bought a set of Greenpans with thermalon, or something like that, and they were horrible. Food sticked to the pans from first use and the frypan turned black. They also got real discolored and look horrible after only 8 months. Trust me, we followed the directions to a "T" and they still did not work. Scanpans cost more, but are worth every penny. I don't think we'll ever go back to another non-stick pan again. If you are looking for a legit non-stick pans, try these. We were going to pay the same amount for all clad, but we have a gas stove and did not want to look at discolored pans again.

Coshell COSAZ9 9-Pound Bag Coconut Shell Charcoal Briquettes Review

(More customer reviews)I'm more of a fan of gas-fired BBQ (heresy, I know for the BBQ purists) or electric (smoking). When I do go for the traditional coal, I usually use hardwood briquettes since I don't care for the way regular briquettes make the food taste.
These coconut shell briquettes were a nice change. They did take a bit longer to catch than regular briquettes (used a chimney-type device to get them lit) but once they got started they burned evenly. Best of all, no taste impact - nice and clean. The manufacturer claims they burn hotter and longer, but I didn't notice a huge difference. A bit longer, perhaps, but the heat seems to be no different. That's just my impression, however - didn't do any side-by-side tests.
While they burn clean, they are not clean when it comes to handling them. Lots of black soot comes off on your hands, and quite a bit of messy powder is in the bag, probably due to the bouncing about during shipping. Much messier than hardwood. The mess knocks the rating down a star.
While these won't convert me away from gas and electric, it is a viable alternative to hardwood charcoal.

(More customer reviews)I picked up two of these on a whim while shopping. After losing countless travel mugs, we switched (yes, with guilt) to styrofoam for morning coffee or tea on-the-go. (Ironically, considering these would be easier to lose than a travel mug, they always seem to find their way home.) We have 20 ounce cups...I put the empty cup upside-down on the counter and slide the handle up to the ridge at the top of the cup (if I hold the cup in my hand and push it tends to bend sometimes so I just found this to be easiest and fastest). Not only does it make the cup easier to hold, but it makes it much more sturdy. I haven't tried it on paper yet, but it seems like it would work fine. It has a slit in one side, opposite the handle, to allow for a little expansion and a snug fit. The only drawback is that the handle is fairly heavy for an empty cup, so I have to be careful (I put the sugar in before the coffee) not to tip the cup. Not a big deal. I would recommend this for disposable cups, and maybe even for travel cups that have no handle or fast food soda cups.
