(More customer reviews)After researching knives for a while, I chose this set. For the price, and all that you get, who could ask for anything more! The weight and balance of these knives is great. They are very sharp to start out with, and have maintained a nice edge. If you are looking for a great set that will not set you back $500-$1000 or more, this is the one. To be sure that any knife will work for you, go to a store and hold different makes and models. If the knife is not comfortable in your hands, you won't use it. As I said, these knives are great for me! My favorite is the 8" Chef's knife.
Now to the negative...
The block takes up alot of counter space, so you may consider the 17 piece set if space is an issue. They are made in China, but they are forged from German high carbon no stain steel. The steak knives that come with the set are just okay, but the set is complete and I don't need anything else.
I would recomend these to anyone looking for a new cutlery set! Enjoy...

Saber SKS Pro Chef 11-Piece Professional Knife Set Review

(More customer reviews)Ordered the 11 piece set sans chef bag. Have a built in knife block so no need. The knifes are very good quality. Bought an Ikea chef knife just to compare and the Saber knifes are noticable higher quality. Only concern was it appeared that someone simply repackaged the knife and chef bag combo, because once I opened the Amazon box, there was a plane box inside with the knifes. The box had no identifying makings, and there was no information on the knifes, or anything that identified the manufacturer. Heck, I at least expected a warantee card. After sleeping on it and doing a little research, I'm willing to bet that someone separated the knife set from the chef bag. I checked on the Saber web site and they don't offer the 11 piece set separate from the bag. Still worth the price, just don't expect anything but the knives.
