Desert sage is stemmy with small leaves, and it is more woody and earthy smelling than white sage. This desert sage is about 3 inch bundles that are very tightly packed, they seem like a lot of stems but that's basically what desert sage is. I like to burn these as incense over a piece of charcoal, and they are exactly the right size and consistency for doing that. They are very aromatic and have a true Native desert sage smell. A lot of people use them for ritual instead of as incense, and I think they would also be very good for that purpose, a lot of potency in them. If you're looking for White Sage, this isn't it and you should look at other products. If you're looking for wonderful smelling aromatic desert sage, this is an excellent choice and actually a pretty amazing value, too.
