It is very high quality with no sharp corners or edges.
Mine is solid wood, but it does have a finish on it, so you can't use it as a cutting board.
I knew this when I bought it and just put my huge cutting board on top.
It rolls smoothly and locks tight when needed.
It is a bit heavy and a little awkward to fold up, but after all, it is a sturdy well built piece, not a toy!
I consider this one of the best things I have ever had, and hope to never be without.
