Built Arlo Oven Mitt Review

I purchased two sets (oven mitt and pot holder) for my mother and significant other to replace their existing (cheap and worn) mitts. They both loved the ergonomics and appearance/styling of the neoprene and it fit their hands well. However, the matching pot holder is designed for medium to large female hands and did not fit my significant other's small hands well (tends to slide out of her hand).
I would give the oven mitt 5 stars, but the neoprene is NOT stable at 450+F (description says "up to 500F"). After regularly using the mitt for over a month, my significant other recently grabbed a cookie sheet in our [calibrated] oven at 450F and it slightly melted the neoprene side of the mitt. My recommendation is to avoid touching 400+F pans/sheets to the neoprene and only contact the rubber grip, which is 500F safe.

These gloves worked very well and were a great value. My wife wishes they came in a smaller size since they only come in large.

Breadtopia Cooking Glove(Kevlar oven glove) Protects up to 540F DegreesA practical alternative to the clumsy oven mitt. An oven mitt has two core requirements: to protect your hands from burning when handling hot objects, while offering enough dexterity to keep from dropping those hot items. Made with Kevlar and Nomex, this oven glove withstands extreme heat up to 540 degrees Fahrenheit. Enough protection to safely handle the high temperatures called for in the no knead bread recipes or home pizza making. Now it's easy to lift that piping hot loaf from its baking dish or baking stone. They're also ideal for use with outdoor grilling and handling the many barbecuing tools.

I received this as a gift about 2 years ago and still use it daily! It has held up well even with daily use. I feel very little heat when using it. Since getting mine, my sister-in-law and mother now have one too. I highly recommend this product for those who cook often and for those who barely cook!

This flame resistant oven glove is flexible, provides all fingers grip, can withstand extreme heat and even an occasional flame.Perfect for indoor/outdoor use, for the oven, grill, stovetop, barbecue.Made of Aramid on the exterior and a double knit cotton on the interior, this mitt fits like a glove.Do not use wet as water would transmit heat to the inside of the glove.Aramid is a man made textile with amazing heat protection characteristics. It is used by race car drivers, astronauts, fire fighters as well as jet fighter pilots whose survival depends not only on skills, but also proper equipment.Although aramid could burn when a flame is held up to it, the glove will stop burning as soon as the heat source is removed, which illustrate its flame resistant property.Aramid arranged in a thick woven structure is also a poor conductor of heat, which makes it the perfect oven glove material.Machine washable, dry flat, do not bleach.
