(More customer reviews)I've owned this style unit (single cord) for several years and really enjoy using it. It came with the proper cord and adapter so I can use other brand tips if I wish. The entire pen assembly disconnects instead of just the tip - I like this a lot! (A friend has the tip-only kind.) The cord is heavy duty. The unit heats up almost instantly and cools quickly. I've had no problems with it at all. Their selection of pens is good, but I usually end up only using 2 or 3 at most. I use it for gourd burning. The unit is fairly heavy, which means it doesn't move around on a table. We travel in an RV a lot; this just packs up in my traveling case with no problem.
