(More customer reviews)We got this cookware a little less than a year ago. It is really great to use, and the padded handles are very comfortable and stay cool. The 8 inch skillet unfortunately is already showing signs of peeling the nonstick coating, and things are sticking badly. Although we do follow the care instructions, we do use this pan at least once and sometimes twice a day, but I would have wanted the coating to last at least a little longer.

(More customer reviews)This cookware works marvelously; it heats up quickly and evenly, is dishwasher safe, and look great in the kitchen. Made in Germany, this Chantal cookware has a copper/steel core encased in stick resistant enamel.
The Chantal cookware comes with glass lids (oven safe to 375 degrees) which fit well and allow for easy monitoring of cooking. They sport stay-cool handles but the shape of the handle coupled by the heft of the cookware lends itself to being a bit hard on the wrist when carrying or pouring.
As an avid cook, I appreciate having a well-made product that stands-up to constant use without any decrease in effectiveness or appearance.
The enamel can get discolored but it is easily cleaned with a ceramic cleaner. I have also noticed that some of the screws in the handle can come loose after heavy use, but a twist of the screwdriver provides a quick and effective fix.

(More customer reviews)I can honestly say that my wife and I have never used cookware that is of higher quality than this Anolon Nouvelle 10-Piece Cookware Set. We received a set of Emeril Hard Anodized Nonstick Fry Pans(8" and 12") as a gift recently and though decent, the difference in quality is readily apparent. The handles are thin and heat up, and the pans are thinner and cook less evenly. Comparatively the Anolon Nouvelle cookware is thicker with layered bases for even heating and have the best handles I've ever had the pleasure to take a hold of. They are thick and easy to grip, and the ends stay cool even if the pan or skillet has been sitting on the heat for a while, eliminating the need to use pot-holders. Even the smaller stockpot handles remain cool enough to pick up the pot when cooking (i.e. spaghetti). The bases where the handles meet the pots do warm up a little though.
I've had this set for just under two months, but we do not eat out and everything is home made so this cookware set has undergone a trial by fire, as it were. We've made a variety of dishes on our glass top stove and everything has been cooked to perfection. Water boils rapidly in this cookware, perhaps due to the double full cap bases. Cooking is even too - in the pancake test, all of the pancakes were evenly browned the same hue. Rice, stir-frys, spaghetti, soups, sauces, veggies, fried foods -- they all are easy to prepare properly with the Anolon Nouvelle set. That isn't to say that they'll keep overcooking from spoiling a meal but it seems hard to do wrong with them. Directions do not recommend cooking with anything higher than medium heat, but we haven't had any issues occasionally going higher. The tight fitting lids help keep dishes from boiling over and lock in the steam to help keep them from drying out. Lids on or off, these are very attractive looking pots and pans. We have a pot-rack, and hanging the Anolons from it gives the kitchen a more elegant look.
I intentionally left some sauce in a pot on medium heat even after we were done making a meal. It dried up and stuck to the bottom and sides and looked like it would be a hassle to clean up. I poured some water and detergent into the pot and let it sit for a while. When I came back to clean it, it wiped off easily. I'm really impressed with the nonstick coating on this set, it just works. The DuPont's Autograph 2 Teflon coating is supposedly the best currently used by Anolon. The flush nonstick rivets are another nice touch. Note: this set is not dishwasher safe. I've re-heated food in the oven a couple of times with no problems, though I doubt I'll ever test the 500 degree limit.
A star comes off for few reasons. The steep price tag may dissuade a casual buyer, though you are paying for a quality product that should last at least five years. You have to decide if a set in this range is what you need. Casual cooks may not need cookware so sturdy. With the amount my family cooks, these will be a good value. Chefs who prefer glass lids will need to look elsewhere. I also wish a 12" skillet was included in the set, but the 10" can handle most of what we'd need the other for. With 6 pans (and 4 lids) in the most common sizes, this set should be able to handle everything except some specialty dishes. The pots are slightly heavier than others I have used, but their sturdy handles make them easy to maneuver and lift.
I am very pleased with how the Anolon Nouvelle set has performed so far and look forward to creating many more mouth watering dishes in them well into the future. If any durability issues arise, I will be sure to append this review to make note of them.

(More customer reviews)I have had this set for years--(maybe 7 years)-- and they have not met my expectations for a set that has "Limited Lifetime Warranty". I am a fairly careful and conscientious person. The set never goes into the dishwasher, I don't use high temperatures and no non-stick sprays. Over time the non-stick qualities have greatly diminished on the most used pieces and and the exterior finish that makes them easier to keep clean has chipped. You still have to scrub them but not as aggresively- to get the residue off that accumulates from the gas burning under the pan-comes off w/ Soft Scub cleanser. Another note: The handles are not particularly stay cool. I always use pot holders for the lids, the stock pot, larger pieces with the 2nd helper handles and any piece that has been on the stove top simmering for more than a few minutes.
The set was excellent for the first few years, but so are many others sets. The pots are holding up well but not the pans. I'd call it a good 4-5 yr set for non-stick. The exterior finish chipped within the first few months and after a yr or so, it became quite noticable. Now they look almost pitted. I am now looking for new pieces to replace my 8" and 10" and 12" pans. My brother has the same set and has experienced the same problems.

A great starter set, this 10-piece cookware collection features must-have pieces for any busy kitchen. Unlike conventional hard-anodized pots and pans, the cookware is dishwasher-safe because its titanium-composite exterior is nonporous. Nevertheless, its virtue of being dishwasher-safe is not unlimited. To prevent pots and pans from discoloring in a dishwasher over time--and to prevent voiding the lifetime warranty against defects--the manufacturer's cleaning instructions (included) about water temperature (120 to 140 degrees F) and detergent (mild, with a phosphate content less that 7-1/2 percent) must be strictly observed. As with most cookware, hand washing Anolon Titanium is the better alternative for ideal care.

(More customer reviews)We purchased these Anolon Advanced Bronze with our UAirlines miles. This is a heavy-duty set of cookware, but absolutely BEAUTIFUL on the stove. If you have a smaller family (4 people or less), you may do better purchasing the individual pieces on sale. The 8 Quart stockpot is HUGE. We have an older stove/microwave combination and it was too tall to put on the back burners (they have a 4.5 qt stockpot which we ended up purchasing). We also ordered the 1 and 3 qt saucepans as the 10 piece set has the larger 1 1/2 quart and 3 quart saucepans. After using the 1 1/2 and 3 qt we realized that the smaller sizes would better fit our needs. BUT, our two boys are under 10, and so our needs will probably be changing as they get older :)
I was a little worried about not being able to put them in the dishwasher, but they clean so easily, that I don't mind washing them by hand - takes just a minute. We debated whether to purchase these or the Anolon Chef-Clad (stainless), but I am not a gourmet cook and am used to using nonstick cookware. In retrospect, I am glad that we got these, as I don't think-when the cookware gets older-that any imperfections will show as much as on stainless.
In all, this is an awesome set - but make sure you get them on sale - even the manufacturer runs them on sale on their website :)
