(More customer reviews)I researched a lot of kitchen exhaust hoods before settling on this one. We've had this hood for 4 years now, and I was and still am impressed with this hood!!!! I orginally wanted the 18" tall hoods because they had the features that I wanted when none of the other smaller units did. Due to space constrants, we could not install the larger hoods in our kitchen which drove me to looking at the smaller units. I did not like any of them due to the way they vented as well as their lack-luster features. Then I found this one!!!! It rivals the larger hoods with with all of its features. It has the heat lamps, the stainless steel baffle filters, variable speeds which on high will almost suck the pots off the burners!!! And on low, it eliminates all the cooking odors from the kitchen, even fish!!!! The noise level is not that bad on low which is where we keep it most of the time, but can get up to several decibles on high. Overall, I am so very glad that we purchased this unit from Broan. It's value for the money knocks all the other high-end units off the map!!!! Plus, you don't have to have this gargantuan unit in your kitchen that takes up so much space!!!! Thanks Broan for leading the way in providing QUALITY, AFFORDABLE, SIZE-CONSCIOUS, FULL-FEATURED, ASTHETICALLY-PLEASING KITCHEN HOODS!!!! Nuff said!!!!! :)
