(More customer reviews)My wife and I moved into a new condominium in July of 2008. This dishwasher (Frigidaire Gallery Series Model GLD2445RFC) came with the condo. Initially, it performed wonderfully. It was quiet, got dishes clean, and looked nice with the stainless steel. Just over a year after we had been using the dishwasher, it started to get louder when washing the dishes, and the dishes were not coming out as clean. In fact, we started switching detergents, thinking that was the problem. Eventually, the noise got loud enough that we were concerned. We called a repair man and for $67 he was able to tell us that it was a bearing in the motor and that we needed a new motor...for $173. I called Frigidaire and they were willing to acquiesce to the fact that their product is junk and gave us a "parts concession number" meaning that they will pay for the parts, but not labor. Labor for fixing the motor: $112. That's 1/5 of the purchase price of a new one of these. Ridiculous. If you have a choice, avoid Frigidaire like the plague. Go for Bosch or maybe Kenmore, GE, or KitchenAid - see Consumer Reports. Frigidaire's Customer Service Number: 706-860-4110. Hope this review helps someone.
