I guess I am rhapsodizing over this pressure cooker but it's the 4th one I've tried and I must say I love it!
We remodeled our kitchen and our new cooktop is an induction model so our old (20+ year) aluminum PC no longer worked for us.
I tried Futuro, Kuhn Rikon and some other brand I don't recall. None was both thick enough to prevent food burning and with a simple and easy to use pressure system.
I cook daily for 6 or more and this cooker is big enough to meet all my needs. In the few days I've had it, I've made risotto - no burning, cheesecake - no cracking, chicken cacciatore and brisket. Every recipe was perfect when done.
Clean up is a snap - remove the handle and rinse under running water. Remove the sealing ring and wash by hand. Toss everything else in the dishwasher.
Did I say I love this pressure cooker? Yes, it's expensive but well worth it!
06/27/2010 Edited to add that the pressure release valve with the little ball in it cracked. I called WMF America and they were happy to send a new one. There were no customer service issues at all. The people I spoke to were helpful and courteous.
We still love our cooker and continue to get lots of use from it.

Fissler Blue Point 8-1/2-Quart Pressure Cooker Review

i never thought i would own a pressure cooker till i needed something to cut down the amount of time it takes to make corned beef. 45 minutes instead of 4 hours? i'm in.
the blue point is quiet and efficient, providing the ultimate environment for corned beef, stews, beans, you name it.
i remember the pressure cooker my parents used as a rattling hissing behemoth that could be heard all over the house. the blue point is quiet and can barely be heard from the next room when fully pressurized.
also, releasing the pressure when the timer goes off is as easy as pushing an ergonomically positioned button. this device is worth the money and clearly will be something i can pass on to my daughter.

Fissler Blue Point pressure cookers combine healthy nutrition with gentle cooking, since atmospheric oxygen is expelled and the cooking periods are quite short.Vitamins and minerals, as well as nutrients and flavor, are thus preserved. You can see and taste the difference. With Blue Point, you save up to 70% of the regular cooking time and as much as 50% of the energy traditionally used in cooking. Blue Point pressure cookers are very unique in that they are completely silent. There is no unnerving rattling or hissing while pressure is inside. Once the oxygen is expelled and the valve locks into place, hardly any steam escapes into the air during the cooking process keeping the kitchen cooler.Because there is no steam, there are no cooking odors. WMF Topstar 6 1/3-Quart Stainless Steel Stockpot with Lid Review

We own a WMF Topstar set.
One handle broke off a couple of years ago, we contacted WMF and they replaced the casserole right away without asking a single question.
The same problem happened again recently (to another casserole in the set) but when we contacted WMF we were told to our surprise that their cookware only carries a 3-year warranty.
Apparently they've shorten their warranty because of the bad economy. We have no way to prove the Lifetime Warranty but we're sure the set came with one since it was the main reason we chose their products.
Buyer beware: WMF cookware does break and they do not honor the Lifetime Warranty. At least not anymore.

Vegetable can be cooked with adding a very small amount of liquid, maybe also some fat. Water steam will condense at the lid flowing back into the cooked food. You may also use this pot for roasting/braising. Eating healthy, savouring consciously, feeling good... WMF Topstar System matches this life-style: a well-conceived system consisting of pots, inserts, accessories for healthy cooking. All components complement each other and can be combined with each other. Inserts sit tightly on the pot rims ensuring easy work. The pots can be stacked into each other to save space in the kitchen cabinet.
