(More customer reviews)I purchased this fireplace back in 2009 and only now have decided to write a review. As I am writing this review, I am watching the reflections of the flames in the window as the rain falls outside. The fireplace does work well. I can get about a 45 minute burn with the fire pits at 2/3 full.
As mentioned in the package instructions, the fireplace can generate a fair amount of heat up to at least three feet in front and above. After all, it burns real fire. :) I put the fireplace on a drywall in my bedroom. When I use the fireplace, I take down the wall decor hanging above the fireplace.
The molly bolts supplied with fireplace did not work properly on my drywall (I am not much of handyman. You may have better luck.) I had to buy another set Walldog 1.25 " screw and anchor bolts to properly attach the mountings to the drywall.
The fireplace surface also scratches easily. So, be careful when handling it.
