Chicago Metallic Professional Nonstick 12-Cup Muffin Pan Review

I love this muffin pan. I have used others that rusted in a short time. This pan is not too dark or too light, so you get perfectly even browning. It is heavy duty instead of thin. The dark pans will brown things too fast, sometimes almost burning them. Shiny pans hardly brown at all. This is the best muffin pan I've ever used and I have been baking muffins for years.
I highly recommend this muffin pan. It will be the last one you ever buy.

Your muffins and cupcakes will come tumbling easily right out of this pan, even if you don't grease the cups or use liners. You'll be happy to know this tough material has been reinforced to guard against scratching, and it's up to the challenge of dishwasher cleaning.

I got the Wilton set, with muffin pan, cake pan, loaf pan. The first time I used it, the smell from the oven was overwhelmingly sickening, very chemical. I thought it was because I hadn't washed it first. After washing, it was the same. As soon as it heats up in the oven, it starts to STINK. SO I did some searching on the internet - quickly found out that you really want silicone bakeware that is 100% silicone. Cheaper brands use plastic fillers which causes the odor during baking. Turns out you can tell easily by twisting a bit of the silicone - if it turns whitish, it's got plastic fillers. Pure silicone will retain it's color. The Wilton immediately turns whitish when twisted. The smell while it's hot is just nasty. I'll be returning these today - I may exchange for a higher quality and give silicone another chance. ALSO - note that silicone is NOT non-stick - it is stick resistant but the manufacturers all still recommend greasing. Wilton says it clearly on their website.
