(More customer reviews)Other than the normal wear and tear (scratches) on the lighter, it still works and functions as intended. The fuel on these don't last very long and refills are necessary depending how often you light up. I wouldn never go back to using a conventional lighter. Just be aware you cannot take these on planes as they will be confiscated. The only issue I have experienced is part design and part user error. The lighter is a symmetrical shape on both ends and when going to light it, I have accidentally lighted it upside down. This has burned my hands a couple of times, so now I always make sure which way I am holding prior to lighting.

(More customer reviews)The igniters have decided to quit after 10 years on my Jenn-Air counter top range and the cost of replacing them and the associated electronics is in the hundreds of dollars. Instead of matches, I thought I'd buy these nifty manual igniters, save money, be "green", etc. Unfortunately, it is often a race as to whether I can produce the proper spark to ignite the burner or blow the house up as the unburned gas pours into the kitchen. This excitement keeps food preparation from being dull, for certain, but I had hoped for a little bit easier time of it. I do think the igniter with the extra flints will last a lifetime-I'm not sure if that is good or bad...they would be the perfect igniter for a propane torch, though.
