We spend a couple months down south and they don't allow gas or charcoal grills on the balcony so we bought this to use instead. We own a full size Holland gas grill and have been using it for about 6 or 7 years now and love it. This new little grill will be great for us and the case will make it easy and neat to take in the car.

(More customer reviews)First, I should point out that this grill requires assembly, and the assembly is not easy. In fact, I had to live with several screws missing since it was simply impossible to get them in.
It had problems: Upon heating up to the required temperature, it would beep until the lid was opened and food was placed on the grill. After a few months, it continued to beep even after food was placed on the grill.
Using an infrared device, as far as I can tell, the grill reached a temperature of about 450 degrees; far less than I would like.
Finally, after a year, it simply stopped working completely. I did leave it plugged into an outlet that had a plastic cover over it during heavy rain, but that should not have led to its death.
Overall, I would not recommend this product.

(More customer reviews)This grill is fine for people with limited space, condo grill restrictions, or who hate messing with gas canisters or charcoal. Grill is adequate in size for a small family and heats quickly to a high temperature. In use, grill cooks well and cleans easily although I am not in love with the sleazy insulating pads used on the lid and grill proper. They don't look like they will last and I really don't see why they are needed. They get dirty the first time you use the unit. Don't expect to periodically clean the grill interior with a garden hose with these pads in place
The grease collecting cup hanging beneath the grill is as useless here as the ones on every other grill I have used. If it doesn't fall off, it misses catching most of the grease. Throw it out and set a bowl or coffee can on the grill base to catch the drippings.
Assembly was tedious due to poor quality hardware. I defy a user to assemble this unit without stripping several of the screws. I threw out the junk Chinese screws and used my own hardened steel screws. Assembly instructions were adequate
The design should have at least included a lid hook allowing you to hang the lid on the body of the grill while cooking uncovered. Where does one put the hot lid while working on the grilling food? On the deck? Have your spouse hold it? A good design would have the lid secured to the grill body with a hinge or swivel like the "Big Boy"grills.
Make sure you remove and store the temperature control/power cord following use as it is not weatherproof.
The self-adhesive temperature setting indicator disk on the control unit knob fell off during my first use. A little dab of epoxy fixed this defect quickly. I think Char-Broil should tighten up QC.
The price of replacement parts is outrageous.
If you get beyond my caveats, stainless steel construction is nice, the grill cooks well, takes little deck space, moves easily, and looks attractive in Star Wars R2D2 sort of way. Amazon also sells a reasonably priced grill cover that is a worthwhile addition.

Salt water is a tough enviornment on anything metal, but this Kenyon grill is built of stainless steel and held up to not only Mother Nature but the pounding of waves that a boat endures. After two years, it still looks new. So we ordered a grill for the house. Frankly, I was tired of cleaning our big gas grill that was more about show than actual use. Cleaning is so easy. The lid and cooking grate go right into the dishwasher. As for effectiveness, the burner and grate are creatively engineered to nest securely and spread the heat evenly. In five minutes or less you are ready to grill at whatever temperature you desire. And get this, the pan beneath the heating element can be filled with water to mitigate any smoke, so we cook indoors as well. We've added apple juice to the pan to add flavor to pork chops. Last Christmas I bought my wife the griddle option and she now makes a pizza like flat bread and other snacks when we are entertaining and don't want a big meal.

(More customer reviews)I came across this grill at one of the home shows that my wife drags me to. In the many years we've gone, this was the only product that we've actually ever purchased.
Since we live in a condo there are more than a few restrictions imposed, one of which is the prohibition of propane grills due to fire regulations. A man's gotta have a grill so after we moved in; the hunt was on for something that we could get to work in our new home. When we found the Kenyon booth at the show, they had a chef on stage cooking a variety of dishes and going through the list of things that this grill could do. What sold me was the fact I could use this in the kitchen during the winter and outside on the patio in the summer. Not having to take a winter sabbatical from grilling sounded great.
The first night we fired it up, we grilled some brats with a little summer ale in the lower tray. One of the best features is the ability to flavor the meat you're cooking by simply adding a few ounces of beer, wine, or anything else you can think of. Grilling was as easy setting the temperature and throwing on the meat. A couple of rotations of the brats later, they were done and tasted much better than I was expecting and was blown away by how well the summer ale transferred into the meat. After dinner, the clean up was painless. The lid and grate both pop off to either be cleaned in the sink or put in the dishwasher and the lower tray can either be rinsed or thrown out.
So far in the few months of ownership we've cooked an assortment of different meals on it from seafood to BBQ to pizza and we even used it to cook breakfast when we went camping with the supplied griddle. It's light, simple to transport, condo friendly, and convenient for a variety of tasks. The touch control is also a nice feature not only for its function, but it's much safer than a rotary knob that can be easily turned by children. All-in-all my wife and I would say that this is by far our favorite and most versatile appliance we have in our kitchen and the reason I'll be looking forward to this year's home show.

(More customer reviews)We purchased this Road Trip after having a horrible experience with a grill from Cabelas. That grill had the lava rocks that moved every time you moved the grill and besides that the legs fell off. We were looking for something that would have fold under legs and no rocks. The Road Trip saved our camping days. We purchased a bag for it, keep it stored in the belly of the camper and with putting water in the tray below the burners, it is very very easy to clean up. You can place this on the picnic table to cook on or use the fold down legs. We have also discovered that this is the best way to cook grilled onions and potatoes or pork chops or chicken, etc on the griddle. Very very convenient and easy clean up. George Foreman GR10ABW Champ Grill with Bun Warmer, White Review

(More customer reviews)I've been watching George's informercials and regular commercials since they first appeared, and I've always been tempted to buy a grill. They were kinda pricey, so I never did. But then, I got one of the small grills with the bun warmer as a gift, and now... I AM HOOKED! I have every intention of buying the extra large grill as a result of the fun I've had with this one.
What you've heard about the grills is all true--they're really easy to clean, they cook food incredibly fast and evenly, and food really does come out as juicy and tender as the commercials show you. Tell you how good it works: I decided to grill skinless, boneless chicken tenders one night for dinner, but they were frozen solid, and I had a group of surly, hungry family members waiting. Just as a gamble, I put the tenders on the George grill to THAW them a little. Well, they thawed all right and were completely cooked in about 8 minutes. Color me surprised!
I've done steak, pork chops, chicken, and shrimp on this little grill, and with each use, I get better and better at gauging the cooking time. I do recommend that you use cooking spray to further the ease of cleanup because spices and marinades tend to blacken (or even burn) where the ridges press into the meat, and cooking spray will slow/stop that. As there's no temperature control on this model, everything cooks at max power, so time is of the essence in making sure what you're cooking doesn't blacken too much.
The bun warmer does just what it promises--warms. No worries about burning the bread because it doesn't toast; it just makes your breads nice and soft. I enjoy the color choices for the lid with this model--I think it's a fun little extra that gives some personality to a simple appliance (I recommend the purple). There's a spatula and drip tray included, and you'll find that the spatula is better used as a scraper than it is for anything else--it makes short work of removing stuck-on food, etc. You'll be stunned to see just how much fat drains away from your food.
If I had to come up with one negative point about the grill, I'd say this: it's not hard to burn yourself on it. The heated surface extends to the sides of the grill, so if you go to move the whole unit, it's really easy to char your fingers.
It's a great introduction to the George Foreman line of grills! The price is incredibly reasonable, and the machine works so well, you'll be glad you got one.
