(More customer reviews)I recently purchased the Sears version of this model (DU1301), and it replaced a Whirlpool that was about 6 years old. The installer pointed out that the only real difference in this model and the much more expensive models is that the more expensive tend to be quieter, though the noise from this model doesn't seem excessive or distracting and most importantly it cleans dishes quite effectively. This model also has a deeper bottom rack, so that now I do not have to be as strategic in loading large items, which often bumped up against the center washing arm in the old model. I also questioned the installer if there was a real benefit to the stainless tub versus the plastic, and he explained that he replaces a similar number of each, and that leaks from the tub are rare regardless of the construction material (my previous model was plastic and never leaked), and that normally leaks come from the water supply hose beneath the washer, rather than the tub. Overall I'm very happy with this relatively inexpensive dishwasher (~$320 from Sears).
