(More customer reviews)This cooktop is a piece of junk. Maytag is aware that the control knobs are faulty, so they replace them for free, but in less than 3 years I've had to replace them 8 times!! The cooktop itself has cracked twice. The first time it was covered under the manufacturer's warrAnty. The Maytag repairman sold me an extended warranty "in case the cooktop cracks again." Now it has cracked again, and the extended warranty people won't come out to even look at it because I didn't report the claim as a "thermal crack." I made the mistake of being honest and telling them I didn't know (either time) how it cracked. Maytag has refused to be of any assistance, saying that it is no longer their problem since I'm under an extended warranty (even though it was their repairman that misled me about the breakage coverage when he sold it to me.) AVOID PURCHASING THIS COOKTOP.
