(More customer reviews)After more than a year of frustration I will have to take this dishwasher to the dump. I had a custom panel which along with it being quiet, are its ONLY redeeming quality and the reason for us trying to figure out why it is not washing properly. Initially the wash quality was terrible. Plastic ware is spotted and slimy, glasses have a film and make fresh water poured in it smell bad. We thought it was our soap. We tried all the brands including Consumer reports highest rated soaps. - Not that. We keep getting grease rings on the outer inch of plates and soapy white film on glasses. I turned down the built in water softener and changed drying agents. I complained to Arison USA. We changed how we load the washer and half washed the dishes before loading. Wiping the inside out and cleaning the filter before every wash seems to help a little bit some of the time.
Here is the real concern. It seems there is one guy to cover all service related issues in the USA. So do not expect your problems to get solved or questions to get answered. You might get a one line response, but not much else. The dishwasher would never get really hot. I stuck a thermocouple inside the tub and confirmed the heating system does not work. Incoming water from our boiler was 120 deg F if I ran it into the sink before. Temperature would drop to eighties during the hour or longer wash. Again no help from Ariston service after sending them the recorder information and asking for help.
We had a service tech from a competitor come out and confirm current is going to the heater and he suggested we replace the heater. (There are no Ariston service centers in the norhteast). I ordered a new heater and had it replaced with no change in end result. Embarrasingly the Technician admitted there is nothing else he can do and refused to charge for the labor on the second call, but I was still out the money for the heater and the first call.
So my only solution is to buy a new dishwasher and live without the custom panel.
