(More customer reviews)I own five pieces of this cookware branded Magnalite. Four pieces were my mother's. She had them for over thirty years. They were made and marked by General Housewares Corp (GHC), an Indiana company, at their plant in Sidney, Ohio. The fifth piece was made there too but not by GHC and that's the problem. GHC made Magnalite up until 1995 when they sold the name Magnalite and the plant. The fourth piece I own was made in Ohio after 1995 by another company. Though it looks similiar in design, it is measurably half the thickness and weight of my mother's pieces. There is also another company that is using the name Magnalite that is making them in China. Replacement parts for the new Magnalite will not fit the original old pieces. So todays Magnalite is not the same as your mother's. Be advised.

Black phenolic handles and lid knobs stay cool on the stovetop and are oven-safe to 350°; the roaster is oven-safe to 500°. Maintain the quality of this long-wearing cookware by washing by hand. The set comes with a 50-year limited warranty.
