(More customer reviews)We have eight flood lights in our kitchen and we had been using 150 Watt bulbs in them. We replaced all eight with Globe 23-Watt BR38 Compact Fluorescent Flood Bulbs and are very pleased with the results. In addition to an 85% reduction in energy consumption, the kitchen doesn't get hot from the bulbs. The incandescent bulbs generated an incredible amount of heat. The fluorescent bulbs do take a couple of seconds to come on and a couple of minutes to reach maximum strength but the wait is well worth it.
