(More customer reviews)I bought three of these mugs based on a recommendation by Mens Health Magazine. None of the mugs works correctly and the chrome ring on the cover has come off of each one. Initially this looks like a great idea but if the slots don't line up just right the mug will not work. I have three of these mugs and each set of slots lines up differently. Stay away from this product if you wish to avoid agravation.

More than just an insulated travel mug, the Brugo (aka, Brew-Go) enables you to sip your favorite hot beverage in the "Perfect Temperature Zone" while eliminating spills, spatters and burned lips that are the hallmarks of lesser travel mugs. Rather than having to wait until your coffee or tea cools down from its freshly brewed temperature of 205 degrees, the Brugo features innovative thermodynamic technology that allows you to enjoy your beverage at just the right drinking temperature. And it's simple to use--just tip and cool or sip.
The spill-resistant Brugo travel mug is great for both hot and cold drinks, and it features a 16-ounce capacity, ergonomic grip, no slip bottom, double wall insulation, and a stainless steel and chrome finish. This version comes in Cobalt/Blue, and the Brugo is available in a rainbow of other color options.
Brugo's Thermodynamic Technology The thermodynamic science behind the Brugo travel mug gives you the power to immediately enjoy the most vibrant flavor at the perfect drinking temperature. As we've all experienced at one time or another, freshly brewed coffee is just too hot to enjoy right away. And if you don't want to wait patiently for it to cool, you have very few options--blow on it, add ice or sip it very carefully while trying not to burn your mouth.
The secret to enjoying your hot beverage at just the right temperature with the Brugo is its innovative temperature control chamber, which quickly brings each sip of your coffee or tea to the perfect temperature with a quick tip of the wrist. The best temperature for brewing coffee is a scalding 205 degrees (F), while the best temperature for drinking coffee is a comfortably hot 150 to 170 degrees. At this temperature range--the Perfect Temperature Zone (or, PTZ)-- your tastebuds sense the maximum flavor of your beverage.
A regular cup of coffee, if you wait long enough, will eventually cool to the PTZ, but it will only stay in that zone for a short amount of time before it becomes too cool and acquires a bitter taste. If you remove the lid or add ice, you'll get to the PTZ sooner, but it will shorten your time in the zone even further.
But with the Brugo, each individual sip of coffee is adjusted to the perfect temperature zone using the unique three-position selector on the lid. The Brugo travel mug features a main interior chamber that holds your hot beverage, which is surrounded by a cooling Temperature Control Chamber that allows about one sip of beverage to cool to your desired temperature.
After setting the dial on the lid to Tip & Cool mode, tip the mug directly away from you and gently swish your beverage from side to side for about 2 seconds at about a 45-degree angle. This swishing motion will prepare one sip of beverage in the cooling chamber. And since you're only cooling each sip and not the entire drink, the remaining coffee stays hotter longer--resulting in maximum time in the PTZ.
Additionally, the three-position selector has a Sip mode that allows you to bypass the Temperature Control Chamber and drink your beverage directly just like a traditional mug as well as a Lock position to keep the mug from spilling during travel.
How to Get the Most from Your Brugo Travel Mug Tighten until guide marks are aligned Choose a setting by turning dial to Lock, Tip & Cool, or Sip. (Dial may feel tight. After 30 seconds, the beverage will warm the mechanism and it will turn easily.)
How can I make sure I am using the mug correctly? Tighten the lid until the small hash marks on the front of the mug and the lid are aligned. In the Tip & Cool position, tip the mug directly away from you for 2 seconds at about a 45-degree angle and swirl the mug with a brandy motion. The Tip & Cool setting is designed to work best when the mug is completely full. Once the mug is 3⁄4 or less full, use the Sip setting. By this time the main beverage should have reached a palatable temperature.
When filling your mug, remember that only the liquid in the main chamber is protected from spills. So when you use the lock setting, you'll need to first drink or pour out any liquid that may have already entered the cooling chamber. Once you do this, your beverage will be safe from all accidental spills and spatters.
Is the Brugo mug dishwasher safe? We do not recommend that you use your Brugo mug in the dishwasher. If you must, use top shelf only.
