(More customer reviews)This is an excellent product to protect, provide pain relief and speed healing of wounds in pets, but not just postoperative wounds. The gel is easy to apply to small areas and gives good thick coverage, but for larger areas the spray type works better. The gel must dry after application before dressing the wound. If the animal may try to lick the wound try the spray as it has a bitter deterrent that the gel does not. I wish I had found this product years ago.
