The LED is golden and flickers realistically. These look best in a clear or white frosted glass holder. I also use them in my cast iron lanterns and they look great. I would not recommend the candles with the gold flame for use in the popular stained-glass mosaic containers. There is something about the light that muddies the resulting color in your mosaic.
These should be valuable at halloween and over the winter holidays. What a great invention.
